Welcome to Chaplin's, an award winning independent and quirky bar and pub, comprising The Cellar Bar and Chaplin's Wine Bar and our wonderful south facing garden complete with balconies. We offer original live music 7 days a week, and amazing fresh cooked food 5 days a week (currently Wed-Sat 3pm-10pm and Sunday Roast 1pm-6pm).   We are based in the heart of Boscombe, 5 minutes walk from the sea and close to the Victorian shopping arcade and the old Opera House now home to the O2 Academy.  So if you’re looking for a luxurious setting to enjoy a great cocktail or a gravity poured real ale,  enjoy some fine cuisine at reasonable prices or just want to catch some great up and coming music acts, or just fancy grabbing a sofa and watching an old Charlie Chaplin film, come down and join us.

 Chaplin's has put a lot of effort into making a lovely environment for people to relax in and is a great place to meet local people from all walks of life, we have the luxury of having a 24 hour license so closing times are flexible, always running into the early hours on a weekend. Chaplin's is based on a 1920’s theme with fabulous original murals by artist Vivien Hoffman, whilst the cellar bar combines traditional pub with live music venue.   The whole place is built largely from reclaimed materials and is a wonder to explore. Chaplin's is an independent pub, a dying breed in modern times, but we have shown others how it is possible to be untied and independent but still successful, and offering food and drink and music of great quality.
